Have I yet mentioned that having an almost 4 year old in the house is pretty much delightful? She is so smart and yet still mispronounces enough to make life really funny. My most recent favorite is that she can't remember what her humidifier is called so she decided that pacifier is close enough.
Also Dan's favorite is what she says when referring to mixing up frozen concentrate of orange juice. When she does that she has to "chunk the junk."

graphoYou can use these phrases to create your own family colloquialisms. Ask Dan about the phrse "Lilac did it"; it's still used when unexpected & unexplained things happen around the house. They seem to take on a life of their own & live on long after 4.
You used to BOING the orange juice with a spring stirrer we had.
My personal favorite from my kids is Carson saying cauliflower for croutons--until he was about 12. And I think he still calls the Tacoma Dome the Catoma Dome--that's what he has called since he could talk.
Yeah Dad,
That thing is called a boinger, so of course you boing with it!
At age 21, Hilary used the phrase, "oh, you get the JIFF of it." har-har-har
What about chested drawers?
In my defense it STILL sounds like YOU say chested drawers and I know you're not.
And Dad still says circus ole.
and don't forget the famous "hurt my foreskin"
