Twice now the entire pots have been emptied by the dog. We'll be lucky if we get anything to grow in these conditions.

I hope chicken wire will do the trick - at least you can always get more beanseeds. I think we are going to have to construct temporary fences around some things until after the garden show - our giant ground gophers are still digging in some plantings........and it's still too cold & wet to get much into the garden beds (which will for sure need a fence!)
When we drove by Sam's club last week Charlotte pointed out the window and said, "Look! It's Grandpa's favorite plant." Sure enough they were selling hostas out front.
